Her mother is White (German) and her father is Black. Most known for her role as Vanessa Hart on Sunset Beach and on Showtime's Beggars and Choosers as Casey Lennox. At 18, she was discovered during a modeling search. Since then, she has worked as a catalog and runway model and has appeared in fashion spreads for various teen and women's magazines. Saum also became a familiar face on MTV when she was featured in music videos.
