mother is White and his father is Black. Starting Shortstop
for the World Champion New York
Yankees. 2000 World Series MVP, 2000 All Star Game MVP,
1996 American League Rookie of the Year. Also my favorite baseball
player (which makes him the official baseball player of MixedFolks.com)!!

Tiger Woods |
His
father is 1/2 African American, 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 Native American,
his mother is 1/2 Thai, 1/4 Caucasian, 1/4 Chinese. He is
the Number 1 Golfer in the world. 3 PGA Tour Player of the
Year award in four years. Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year
for 1997 and 1999 and 3 time U.S. Amateur Champion. Only golfer
ever to hold all 4 major championships at the same time.

Jason Kidd |
His
father is Black and his mother is White. Starting Point
Guard for the NBA's Phoenix Suns. Named the high school
Player of the Year by both Parade Magazine and USA Today, First
Team All-America honors in college and 1995 Co-Rookie of the Year
in the NBA. All NBA the past two years and led the League
in assists in 2000. Multiple All-Star Game appearances.

Jayson
Williams |
His
Mother is White and his Father is Black. A hustling 6-10
forward/center who has provided valuable rebounding and defense
as a popular, high-energy player who became an All-Star for the
New Jersey Nets in 97-98. Also, his affable, outgoing personality
and his generosity made him one of the most popular athletes in
the Metropolitan New York area in the 1990s, as well as a perennial
member of the NBA's All-Interview team. Williams
ended his career as the Nets fourth all-time leading rebounder,
second all-time offensive rebounder and fourth all-time defensive
rebounder.

Roy Campanella |
His
mother was Black and his father was Italian. He caught in
five World Series, won the National League Most Valuable Player
award in 1951, 1953, and 1955, and was the first black catcher in
Major League Baseball history. In 1969, he joined baseballs
elite with his induction into the Hall of Fame. |

Franco Harris |
His
father was a black American army sergeant stationed in Italy, when
he met his wife, an Italian lady. Retired Hall of Fame Running
Back with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He ran for over 1,000 yards
a season 8 times; rushed for 12,120 yards in 13 years; led Pittsburgh
to 4 Super Bowl titles. |

The Rock |
His
mother is of Samoan heritage, the daughter of The Late High Chief-
Peter Maivia, His father is Black. He is a professional Wrestler
and ex-college football player. First Black Champion of the
WWF and one of the most popular wrestlers in the world. |

Alexandra Stevenson |
Her
father (Julius "Dr. J" Erving) is Black and her mother
is White. She is a professional Women's Tennis Player and
is currently ranked around number 85 in the world. She made
it to the Semifinals of the 2000 Wimbledon Tournament. |

Rod Woodson |
His
mother is White his father is Black. NFL cornerback for world
champion Baltimore Ravens. First-round selection (10th overall)
by Pittsburgh in the 1987 NFL Draft. Named to the NFL's 75
Anniversary Team. Eight-time Pro Bowl selection (1989-94,
1996, 2000). Seven selections as a cornerback and one as a free
safety ('99). Played in Super Bowl XXX as a member of the
Pittsburgh Steelers. NFL defensive player of the year in 1993.
Holds five Pittsburgh records: interception touchdown returns (5),
punt returns (256), punt return yards (2,362), kickoff returns (220)
and kickoff return yards (4,894). |

Grant Fuhr |

do not know the race of either gender of his biological parents,
except that one was White, the other Black. He was adopted
by a White family. Professional Hockey player (Goalie) for
18 years. Member of 5 Stanley Cup championship teams
(1984, 1985, 1987, 1988 and 1990). Named to NHL All-Star second
team (1981-82), played in NHL All-Star Game (1982, 1984-1986, 1988
and 1989), named All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (1986) and named
to NHL All-Star first team (1987-88). |

Donald Brashear |
His
father is a Black American, his mother is a White Canadian.
A physical winger, Brashear is a strong enforcer who can chip in
offensively. Signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens in
1992. Tallied over 1,250 penalty minutes in first seven NHL seasons.

Dan O'Brien |
Has
a Black birth father and a Finnish birth mother. He was the
first American since Bruce Jenner to win the Olympic decathlon gold
medal (1996 in Atlanta), and was also the 3-time World Champion
('95, '93, '91); five-time national champion in the decathlon. |

Jarome Iginla |
His
father is is Nigerian, his mother is White. Dallas' 1st pick
in the 1995 Entry Draft (11th Overall) then traded to Calgary.
Other Accomplishments: NHL All-Rookie Team (1997), Canadian Major
