Sheila Hudson
|
Her
father is Black and her mother is Korean. The American
record-holder in the triple jump. For years she dominated
the triple jump in the U.S. and was the only American to reach
the final in the first Olympic triple jump competition for
women in 1996.

Hines Ward
|
His mother is Korean and his father is Black. He
played quarterback, tailback and wide receiver at the
University of Georgia. Selected in the third round of
the 1998 NFL draft by the Steelers, Ward caught 15 passes
for 246 yards this past season as a rookie, and became a standout
player on special teams.

by Detroit Lions in first round (21st pick overall) of 1994
NFL draft. Veteran receiver who is one of Lions
most consistent offensive performers and one of the leagues
most efficient pass-catchers. Is now second on Lions
all-time receiving yards list with 5,345 yards, and currently
stands in fourth place (392) on the Lions all-time receptions
list.

he did with the Sacramento Bee on 3/25/01). Attended Pepperdine,
where he averaged better than 19 points in each of his last
two seasons. He was selected by Seattle with the 17th overall
pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. He blossomed with the Toronto Raptors
and was second in voting for the NBA Most Improved Player Award
in the 1996-97 season. Was traded to Sacramento last season
and was 3rd on the team in scoring and was selected to the 2000-01
NBA All-Defensive Second Team. |

Jamila Wideman

Her
father is Black and her mother is White (from a 1997 Sports
Illustrated article). She led Stanford to three consecutive
Final Four appearances from 1995 to 1997. Was selected by
the Los Angeles Sparks in the first round (third overall)
in the 1997 WNBA Draft. Currently plays for the Portland Fire.

Trajan Langdon

the Washington
Post). A four-year starter at shooting guard for Duke University
where he was a consensus second-team all-American and was all-Atlantic
Coast Conference. He was selected with the 11th overall pick
in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was also
a talented baseball player who was selected in the sixth round
of the 1994 MLB Draft, he spent three of his four college summers
playing in the Class A Northwest League. |

All-Pac 10 Conference selection at USC before being selected
by the New Orleans Saints in the 5th round, #166.

Tasha Schwikert

Her
mother is White and her father is Black. She has been a level
5 gymnast since she was 7 years old. By the time she was 13,
she was a Jr. International elite. She has been on the National
team for 4 years and was named as the second alternate on
the Olympic team. A few days before the Games, one of the
other gymnasts had an injury and she was named to the 2000
Olympic team.

Anthony Ervin

and his mother is White. American swimmer who captured the gold
medal in the 50-meter freestyle at the 2000 Olympics. Also won
the 100-meter freestyle at the 2001 World Swimming Championships

Chris Zorich

His
mother is White and his father is Black. In 1989, he was the
UPI Lineman of the Year. In 1990, Chris Zorich won the Lomardi
Award and was named the Chevrolet Defensive Player of the
Year. His successful career at Notre Dame led to a career
in the NFL when the Chicago Bears made him their second round
draft choice. Off the field, he started the Chris
Zorich Foundation and was a finalist for NFL Man of the
Year. His promising NFL career was cut far short after a torn
knee ligament and recurring back problems forced him into
retirement.

three pro seasons, Tony Gonzalez has already established himself
as one of the most exciting young performers in the NFL today.
He became the first Chiefs tight end to be selected to the
Pro Bowl. He was also a consensus first team all-pro pick.

Thomas

He
is half Black and half White. He was selected the national freshman
of the year by Basketball Times Magazine, the 2002 BIG EAST
Rookie of the Year and a third-team all-BIG EAST selection.
He was Notre Dame's second-leading scorer in 2001-02 as he averaged
15.6 points per game. He set Notre Dame single-season marks
for assists (252), steals (72 and average for steals per game
(2.18). He also tied the single season assist average record
(7.64). |

Bluthenthal

is half Black and half White (Jewish). He was among 50 Preseason
Wooden Award candidates and is one of the top all-around threats
in the Pac-10. One of the leagues premier three-point
shooters, hes also an aggressive rebounder who led the
USC Trojans in that category as a sophomore. He l has started
61 of his 84 games at USC. He is 11th on USCs career three-point
chart (109) and sixth on Troys career free throw percentage
list (.799). He also shares the Trojan record for most rebounds
in a game (28).

James Blake

he has "a white mother and an African-American father."
After finishing the college Tennis season ranked No. 1 and reaching
the NCAA singles final (he lost to Florida's Jeff Morrison in
three sets), Blake turned pro. At 6'1" and a wiry 155 pounds,
he is a superb athlete who covers the court like a tarp, hits
the ball hard and draws high marks for his tennis acumen. |

Robert Smith

to an interview with Daily Southtown he is "mixed race".
I assume that he is half Black and half White. Former running
back for the Minnesota Vikings. After leaving Ohio State early,
he went on to break most all of the Vikings rushing records
and retired after the 2000 NFL season. In 1999, Robert formed
the Robert Smith Foundation to benefit research on children's
cancer. |

Justice

Interrace,
a magazine chronicling the census movement and interracial and
biracial social life, has stated that professional baseball
play David Justice is "Afro-European". Justice has
served 14 years in the major league. He spent the first part
of his career with the Atlanta Braves before moving on to Cleveland,
New York and now is in Oakland. He's a 1982 graduate of Covington
Latin High School in Kentucky. Justice attented Thomas More
College in Crestview, Kentucky. He donates his time to worthy
causes, including the Juvenille Diabetes Foundation and the
Boys and Girls club of America. David Justice resides in Cincinnati,
Ohio with his only son David, Jr. |
