Noemie Lenoir

Her
mother is African (from an island off Madagascar), and her
father is French (according to Phenom
Mag). She moved from Europe to New York because
she said, "It's more easy for mixed girl(s), to come
to New York for work". She has appeared in British
Elle, American Elle and i-D and scored good money for campaigns
for the Gap and Ralph for Ralph Lauren. She's modeled
for just about every top designer globally and was featured
in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Noemi has also shot
for the Victoria's Secret campaign.

August Wilson |
His father was White (a German immigrant) his mother was Black.
August Wilson has been hailed since the mid-1980s as an important
talent in the American theatre. His first commercial success
was Ma Rainey's Black Bottom which went on to Broadway where
it enjoyed 275 performances and won the New York Drama Critics
Circle Award. He also won the Pulitzer Prize for drama twice
for Fences and The Piano Lesson. |

This model/actress has done more than 30 music videos for MTV,
VH-1 and BET. She also has done posters, billboards, magazines,
catalogs, and calendars as well as make appearances on TV shows

His
bio says he is a Mexican-African-Dutch born Canadian. The multi-dimensional
Richard "Humpty" Vission has emerged as an innovator
of House Music. At 26, This has been mixing since high school,
and is dedicated to bringing the best House music from around
the world to Los Angeles via the radio airwaves, the club circuit,
and producing his own records including his latest Shut
the F*** Up and Dance. He has also done numerous remixes
and written songs for The Movement, Rupaul and Madonna among
others. |

Allen and Albert Hughes

Their
mother is Armenian their father is Black (from an interview
they did with Ed Morales. When asked how they deal with mixed-race
issues in their lives they responded, "We always felt like
outsiders. Black people don't like you because you're part white
and white people don't look at you cause you're still a nigger.
We always had the outsider's look at everything, so we always
viewed everything like a movie."). This directing duo known
as the Hughes Brothers has directed American
Pimp, Menace
II Society and Dead
Presidents. |

Joshua
Redman
|
His
father is Black (saxophonist Dewey Redman) and his mother
is White (a Russian-Jewish dancer). He graduated summa cum
laude from Harvard and turned down a chance to study law at
Yale in order to become a professional musician. After winning
the saxophone prize in the 1991 Thelonious Monk competition,
he embarked on a hectic but much lauded recording binge. His
albums include Passage
of Time, Beyond
and Freedom
in the Groove.

Her
mother is white and her father is Black. Author of Skin
Deep. She has spent her entire life in the Black community,
much of that time working for issues that are of primary importance
to Black Americans. Working with biracial children has also
become an important job for Kathleen. She helps to fortify their
self-esteem, heal their wounds, toughen them up, and educate
them. |

Tom
Morello
|
His
father is Black (Kenyan) and his mother is White. A Harvard
political science honors graduate and guitartist for Rage
Against the Machine. After Harvard he went to L.A and started
his rock career. He played with several bands, which were
unsuccessful, and tried teaching guitar to get along, and
finally took a job as a California senator's secretary. He
then formed a band called "Lockup" with the guitarist
of Tool, where Tom did backing vocals. Eventually he met up
with Zack De La Rocha and they formed Rage Agains the Machine.
Their albums include: Rage
Against the Machine, Evil
Empire, The
Battle of Los Angeles, and Renegades.

Roche

His
mother is White and his father is Black. Roche conducts the
Drive at Five on WJSE 102.7 in New Jersey. He is on the air
weekdays between 3PM to 7PM.

Lemay
|
According
to his website he is half Black and half White, I don't know
which parent is which. Signed with Ford Modeling agency in
1996. Designer John Bartlett decided to have Will open his
1996/97 Fall/ Winter New York collection. After opening John
Bartlett's show his career skyrocketed. To this day will remains
one of the most consistant male models in the business, still
going strong.

father is of German Jewish heritage, and his mother is African-
American (from an
article in the New York Times). He is the executive director
of BlackPlanet.com,
launched in September 1999, and Media Metrix named it one
of the 50 most popular sites on the Net. He also is an Internet
pundit for MSNBC, the NBC "Today" show and "Oprah,"
where he taught Oprah Winfrey how to surf the Web. And he
is in demand as a speaker at technology conferences.

father was of African descent, Irish and Native American and
his
mother was a 1/4 Choctaw Indian, 1/4 Irish, and 1/2 Canadian
French. He is the author of a newly-released autobiography,
Creating
Equal: My Fight Against Race Preferences, is founder and
chairman of the American Civil Rights Institute a national,
not-for-profit organization aimed at educating the public
about the problems created by racial and gender preferences.
He has been profiled on 60 Minutes, the cover of Parade magazine,
the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek magazine,
and virtually every major news magazine in America. He has
also appeared on The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, Crossfire,
Firing Line, Hannity & Colmes, The Crier Report, Meet
the Press, Rivera Live, Dateline, Politically Incorrect, NBC
Nightly News, CNN, and C-SPAN.
